DESCRIPTION:Join us for a live webinar with Jen Garrett & Dan Egloff as they share how she implements MetFix in her gym—both as an affiliate owner and coach. \nBecome a member of The Medical Society today for free access to this webinar and our entire archive of past sessions. \nTogether\, Jen and Dan created an interdisciplinary initiative to equip future PAs with tools to treat chronic disease through lifestyle-first strategies—rooted in the principles championed by Greg Glassman and foundational to the MetFix model. \nBy embedding real-world training in exercise and nutrition into a clinical year workshop\, students significantly increased their ability and willingness to recommend non-pharmaceutical interventions. The program emphasized actionable care plans\, patient empowerment\, and measurable outcomes—all while challenging the limitations of conventional medical training. Planning and execution strategies for replicating this model will also be shared\, including partnership development and pre/post survey design. \nJen\, the program lead\, has practiced as a PA since 1999 across oncology\, gastroenterology\, and transplant medicine. She joined Mount St. Joseph in 2019 and currently serves as Program Director. Her leadership in merging evidence-based movement and nutrition into clinical education reflects a growing shift in how we train healthcare providers to think—and act—differently.
