https://warroomgym.com/After playing college golf and competing at a high level in other sports, I found myself looking for the next physical challenge. I discovered that in CrossFit in 2009. Before long I was coaching and attending seminars to learn advanced WL and KB training, and I was hooked on learning everything I could about fitness, health, and performance. When my Wife completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy, we relocated to Dallas to launch CrossFit Wylie and Grace Physical Therapy. Initially, our motivation was a blend of being able to monetize our love for fitness and movement and helping others. Over the years, however, it became much more about “How do we help more people? How do we work with doctors? How do we create networks of healthcare providers and opt out of sick care?” While we had great success, we always felt like we were reaching adults too late and not doing enough. We have since sold CrossFit Wylie, relocated, and opened Apogee Fredericksburg (a K-12 Apogee Education Academy) and War Room Gym (a 24/7 open gym model where we offer data-driven health care and performance training). Our mission is now focused primarily on the youth in our community and their families to stop metabolic and chronic diseases before they begin.
