Pfizer has agreed to pay nearly $60 million to settle allegations that its subsidiary, Biohaven, engaged in illegal kickback schemes before Pfizer acquired the company.
The DOJ alleged that Biohaven violated anti-kickback laws by providing financial incentives for prescribing the migraine drug Nurtec ODT.
“The department will use every tool at its disposal to prevent pharmaceutical manufacturers from undermining the objectivity of treatment decisions by health care providers.”
