Dale is Cofounder and Co-Owner of Doc Spartan, an all-natural grooming and skincare company appearing on ABC’s Shark Tank. Dale secured a deal with Robert Herjavec, which Robert subsequently named one of his best deals in the history of the show. Dale is also Owner and Founder of PSKC CrossFit, a CrossFit gym founded in 2010 with a mission to build a stronger community in Portsmouth, OH, ravaged by economic depression and opioid addiction. In 2018, Dale and his staff partnered with The Counseling Center to pioneer the Portsmouth Method, a program incorporating CrossFit as a force multiplier to addiction treatment that partners with small businesses offering flexible employment and mentorship for people in recovery to achieve long-term sobriety. Dale is Owner and Founder of Spartan Solutions Group (SSG), a packaging and machining business employing people in recovery. SSG subcontracts to larger companies to bring manufacturing business back to Ohio. Dale is Cofounder of Team Some Assembly Required, a nonprofit for competitive adaptive athletes. Dale was executive producer for the documentary film Small Town Strong based in Portsmouth. He is a nationally renowned speaker featured in major media outlets such as NBC’s Today Show, Fox & Friends, the New York Times, the Boston Globe and the Kelly Clarkson Show. He serves on the board of 50 for the Fallen. Dale served a number of years in Security and Counterintelligence at the Department of Energy, and began his career in the US Army, serving from 2003-07 in the 10th Special Forces Group as Intelligence Officer and achieving the rank of Captain. Dale earned his BA in international relations in 2003 from Capital University, where he was in the Army ROTC program. He is a member of the 2024 Class of Henry Crown Fellows within the Aspen Global Leadership Network at the Aspen Institute.
