In 2010, Peter discovered crossfit.com and began training himself and others. In 2012, he graduated from Queen’s University (Kingston, Ontario) with a bachelor’s degree in biology specializing in plant molecular biology. From 2016 to 2021 he owned and operated a CrossFit affiliate in Ottawa, Ontario. He currently operates a MetFix program, Petra Health MetFix (www.petrahealth.ca), oriented toward seniors and the chronically ill to introduce them to functional movement and healthy eating. Since 2017, Peter has been teaching the CrossFit Level 1 and Level 2 seminars and is, himself, a Certified CrossFit Coach (Level 4). In January 2018, Peter worked the first CrossFit MD Level 1 course put on by Greg Glassman to network physicians who independently acknowledged movement and nutrition as the independent variables affecting health outcomes. He is driven by the truth and passionate about giving people autonomy over their health. Peter lives in Ottawa, Ontario with his wife (Jen) and three kids (John, Luke, Anouk).
