Preparation

Preheat the oven: to 450°F (230°C). Season the chicken breast (6 oz) with garlic powder (½ tsp), salt, and pepper to taste.

Wrap the chicken: with bacon slices (2 slices), overlapping slightly to secure them well around the meat.

Transfer the chicken to a foil-lined baking sheet and roast in the oven for 16–18 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

While the chicken roasts, make the onion cream sauce: In the same pan over medium heat, melt butter (½ Tbsp). Add minced onion (2 Tbsp) and sauté until soft and slightly golden, about 3–4 minutes.

Lower the heat and stir in heavy cream (2 Tbsp), cream cheese (1 Tbsp), and Dijon mustard (¼ tsp). Stir until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve: Once the chicken is cooked, let it rest for a couple of minutes. Serve it hot, topped generously with onion cream sauce.
