Start with an unladen 800. For the second run, wear a loaded rucksack—heavy, but still allowing you to move at a good clip. Next, keep the pack on and carry a dumbbell. Then, add another dumbbell. By this point, you should be loaded up enough that 100 meters is quite difficult—probably requiring a break to make it through. Finally, disencumber yourself and sprint another 800.

Ingredients

1.5 lbs beef stew meat, cut into cubes
1 Tbsp butter or beef tallow (for cooking)
1 large onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup canned diced tomatoes (no added sugar)
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp ginger paste
½ tsp coarse sea salt
½ tsp cracked black pepper
2 cups cauliflower florets (for couscous)
1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil (for finishing)
Fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Preparation

Heat butter or tallow (1 Tbsp) in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add beef stew meat (1.5 lbs) and brown on all sides, about 5–7 minutes. Remove beef and set aside.

In the same pot, add chopped onion (1 large) and sauté until translucent, about 4–5 minutes. Add minced garlic (3 cloves) and cook 1 minute until fragrant.

Return beef to the pot. Add diced tomatoes (1 cup), cinnamon (1 tsp), cumin (1 tsp), smoked paprika (1 tsp), ginger paste (½ tsp), salt (½ tsp), and pepper (½ tsp). Stir to combine.

Cover and simmer on low heat for 1.5–2 hours, or until beef is tender and sauce has thickened.

Meanwhile, prepare cauliflower couscous: pulse cauliflower florets (2 cups) in a food processor until rice-sized grains form. Steam or sauté with a little butter or tallow until tender, about 5 minutes.

Serve the beef stew over cauliflower couscous. Drizzle extra virgin olive oil (1 Tbsp) over the dish and garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley.

From August 2021–August 2023, ultra‑processed foods accounted for 55% of total caloric intake among individuals aged 1 year and older in the U.S., with higher consumption in youth (61.9%) compared to adults (53.0%). Top calorie sources included sandwiches (like burgers), sweet baked goods, savory snacks, and sweetened beverages.
