Cajun Shrimp and Sausage Skillet
A bold, one-pan meal packed with smoky sausage, spicy shrimp, and sautéed peppers, finished with a buttery Cajun kick.
Ingredients
For the Skillet:
6 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
4 oz andouille or spicy beef sausage, sliced into rounds
¼ cup red bell pepper, diced
¼ cup green bell pepper, diced
2 Tbsp red onion, diced
1 Tbsp butter (for cooking)
1 Tbsp olive oil (for finishing)
1 tsp Cajun seasoning
½ tsp smoked paprika
¼ tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
¼ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp sea salt
¼ tsp black pepper
1 Tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Preparation
Prepare the Ingredients: In a small bowl, toss the shrimp (6 oz) with Cajun seasoning (1 tsp), smoked paprika (½ tsp), cayenne pepper (¼ tsp), garlic powder (¼ tsp), sea salt (¼ tsp), and black pepper (¼ tsp). Set aside.
Cook the Sausage: Heat the butter (1 Tbsp) in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced sausage (4 oz) and sear for 3–4 minutes until browned and crispy on the edges. Remove sausage from the skillet and set aside.
Cook the Veggies: In the same skillet, add the red bell pepper (¼ cup), green bell pepper (¼ cup), and red onion (2 Tbsp). Sauté for 3–4 minutes until softened and slightly charred.
Cook the Shrimp: Push the veggies to one side of the skillet. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
Finish the Skillet: Return the sausage to the skillet and toss everything together. Drizzle with olive oil (1 Tbsp) and stir to coat. Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley (1 Tbsp).
