Backstage at the 2011 CrossFit Games, Coach Glassman spoke with Fast Company about the philosophy behind his approach to training. At its core, he explains, is a belief in the improvability of people—that individuals can continually make themselves better and define for themselves what “better” means. Through consistent exercise, sound nutrition, and healthier lifestyle choices, nearly every measure of well-being can be improved.
Greg also emphasizes that the success of a training program ultimately rests on the quality of its coaches rather than the facilities themselves. Strong coaches build trust and relationships with their clients, and people will often follow a trainer they believe in wherever that coach goes.
